El Prado Project

The El Prado house is an extensively remodeled pueblo style adobe home. We collaborated closely with owner Jim Greenberg during the design process to create a space that was rich with character and unique details. The adobe plastered walls, kiva fireplaces and viga ceilings give it a sense of place appropriate for historic Taos while the built-in teak furniture, stone tile, and cabinetry give the house a worldly touch that evokes fond memories from the owner’s travels.

El Salto Project
Nestled in the mountain forest above Taos, this straw bale house takes a contemporary approach to the ‘Craftsman Style.’ Stepping past the hand carved front door will take you into a magical world where form meets function in a dynamic play of light and space – leaving select vestiges of Taos’ hippie roots to remind you where you are.

Straw Bale and Taos Light
This elegant two-story straw bale house sits on the gentle curve of an arroyo, looking out over rolling waves of a sagebrush ocean. Its many porches, decks and gardens invite you outdoors, while inside each room awaits you with architectural treasures. The house is completely off-grid, getting its electricity and primary heat from the sun, and it’s water from the rain.
